ICTA offers grants up to Rs 500,000
for ICT projects to help your community

Would you like to help the disadvantaged people in your community, but lack the funding support to do it?

If so, this is to inform you of the Community Assistance Program of the e-Society Development Initiative, (implemented by the ICTA,) which offers grants up to Rs 500,000* for carrying out a project to help your community using ICT.

If you are interested in obtaining funding assistance through this grant, you should send us a brief description (minimum of one paragraph) on the project that you would like to and are able to carry out.

The project should use ICT to deliver the services. ICT does not only mean modern ICT methods (eg: computer, internet) but can also be traditional (eg: phones).

The project should benefit the disadvantaged community (women, children, poor, disabled, etc) and contribute to improving their living status.

The project should be innovative. That is, it should be an idea that has not been implemented before in Sri Lanka. (projects to provide computer training only will not be funded.

If your concept is approved, we will provide the support to develop a formal application for the grant.

Your ideas can be emailed to esdi@icta.lk
